How Druid UCS simplifies IP-Telephony deployment and management.

Our product is designed with two thoughts in mind. First that Druid should be the easiest product to use to deploy and manage your telecommunications server, secondly Druid should have features which help the administrator and the end user both increase their productivity and get their work done faster.

Installation

Druid UCS comes on a single CD and can be easily installed on any of our recommended servers or a equivalent off the shelf server. Installation is done using a easy to use GUI interface which will have your system up and running in less then 20 minutes. The installation comes with its own operating system based on Redhat Enterprise 5 which is a industry standard platform for critical software.

Installing Phones

If you are using any of the phones from our recommended list which contains Polycom, Aastra, Snom, Cisco and Mitel then installing your phones is only a matter of plugging them into your network (Please be sure your network switch supports tagged vlans).

The list of recommended phone providers above covers all the popular and industry wide ip-phones which are used today. Any phones by providers not on the list would be recommended against not only by us but in general any IP-Telephony service provider

Once plugged in the phones would appear in the drop-down list in the "Add Station" menu option where you can create the user extension to bind to the selected phones.

Druid UCS currently has the best phone provisioning technology available and we support a wide array of phones which makes us flexible enough to fit the diverse needs of our customers.

Configuring IP and Analog Trunks

Every phone system needs trunks to call in and our of the system. We support two types of trunk the first are the traditional Analog trunks such as E1, T1, FXO (standard phone line) using Telephony cards from industry leaders such as Sangoma and Digium. Telephony cards from either of the two providers offer the best value for money and stability anywhere. Sangoma trusts its product enough to offer a 5 year warranty for all its telephony cards. These cards can easily be plugged into the server on which Druid UCS is installed and you instantly have a state of the art telephony system which is future proof and highly affordable. Saving your company time and money year after year.

The other type of trunks are VOIP trunks (SIP Trunks) which can be bought from VOIP service providers and easily configured into Druid UCS using the "Add Trunk" menu option. VOIP trunks will help you connect up globally and save you tons of money on your voice communication.

Onces these trunks are configured you are ready to go, you can now route inbound calls based on time of day or date to extensions, conferences, pilot groups and auto-attendant voice menu's.
